How much does it cost to have an audiobook recorded and ready for release?
It can be tricky to know precise costs upfront as every narrator reads differently and subsequent time in the studio varies. For a 30,000 – 60,000 word book, it’s likely that around 5 – 10 hours in the studio is required. Our studio rate is $90/hour so studio costs come in at around $450 – $900. The final cost beyond this for mastering, editing, chapter/section preparation and delivery is between $180 – $360 depending on the size of the audiobook.

How long will it take to receive my audiobook files?
After the studio recording session/s it can take around 1 – 2 weeks depending on availability.
What should I bring?
For your session/s please bring :
- An iPad or Tablet with your pdf available for you to read from (we can provide one if you don’t have one). These are best as they don’t add any unwanted noise to the recording.
- A pdf copy of your book emailed through prior to the session.
How will I receive my audiobook back?
After the editing/mixing process is complete you’ll receive your files back via a private google drive folder. We also advise that you have a listen to everything first to make sure you’re happy with it all before uploading. Feel free to make any notes for anything you’d like to re-record or have another take at if the delivery wasn’t exactly as intended.
